Description.
The Barvas Moor sits in the centre of the island, spanning across from the back of Stornoway town all the way across to Barvas on the west coast of Lewis. This painting, in very deep, rich colours depicts the moorland in all it's glory and before the wind turbines take over the landscape. It is how I will remember the wild stretches of heather, coarse grasses, moss beds and rolling hills.
The painting is textured and also highlighted using metallic paints to add to the depth of colour. |
