This semi-abstract original canvas in oils and metallic paint and is my personal impression of the rugged Lewis moorland on a heavy and hazy day.
The canvas is textured to give the effect of heather and bracken whilst retaining a mystical feel as the muted tones merge together. I particularly enjoy working in this medium and although I have my own thoughts of what the island landscape looks like I really enjoy hearing other opions and perceptions.
All the sides of the canvas have been painted so that there is no requirement to add a frame. The painting is also coated with artists varnish to protect the artwork and can be wiped clean with a soft damp cloth.
It is supplied ready to hang and complete with the artist's authenticity signature on the rear of the canvas, along with contact details. |
