Description:

This is the third in my series of Machair painting and depicts the Atlantic ocean breaking on the Uig shoreline, just as the sun creeps into the sky.
It was created using several layers of heavy paint/sand mix onto the canvas and is manipulated with both brush and palette knife to give atmosheric textures. I also introduced some some lighter metallic areas into the foreground which change dramatically depending on the light source.
Although it is intended to hang this canvas without a frame it is possible to have one made if this is cutomer's preference.
