Hi, my name Seonaid Clarke (formerly Macleod) and I am a a self taught artist who lives and works in the profoundly beautiful and sometimes harshly stark Hebridean island of Lewis & Harris.
I have been 'dabbling' in art since I was a child and over the years I have been commisioned to paint many island scenes, some of which are now in various parts of the US, Canada, Germany, New Zealand and Australia.
So After a 14 year career in the avaition industry I decided to leave it all behind to become a full time artist. Now several months on I have my own studio and am delighted to be 'living the dream'.

My home is in Stornoway, the main port town of the Hebrides, but I enjoy exploring the island treasures with it's rolling moorlands, machair dunes, granite moonscapes, majestic cliffs & hills and its many wonderful white sandy beaches.
Although our 150 mile-long chain of islands is considered remote it is nonetheless an incredibly inspiring place to live. The light is ever-changing and has an amazing quality which often creates wonderfully dramatic and atmospheric scenes.
